A place where visitors can learn a lot about the production of olive oil: the famous, tasty, all natural Cretan Product.
The Paraschakis family Olive Oil Factory is located in Melidoni , a small village almost 30 kms away from Rethymno. Here, the visitors have the opportunity to see three different ways of olive oil production developed through the years. The earlier was done only by manual work and the help of animals. Later the production was depended on a diesel machine while today the technique uses centrifugal force. During their staying in the factory, visitors can taste and also buy pure healthy olive oil.
